Standard Terms & Conditions

• Validity. Prices are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. Freezone rates revise periodically.
• VAT. All prices are exclusive of 5% UAE VAT unless explicitly stated; VAT is added at invoicing.
• Payment. 50% advance and 50% on licence issuance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Refund Policy. Licence fees are non-refundable once paid to the freezone. Visa rejection by UAE Immigration/GDRFA does not entitle refund of government fees already consumed (medical, EID, typing). MMB's service fee is non-refundable once filing has commenced.
• Government pass-through. Immigration / medical / attestation fees are at cost; receipts provided on request.
• External Approvals. Certain activities — Food & Beverage, Health, Education, Legal, Security, Media content regulator — require additional government approvals not included in the base package. These are quoted separately once the activity is confirmed.
• Documentation. All documents must be true, complete, and attested where applicable. MMB is not liable for delays caused by incomplete or delayed client documents.
• Bank account opening. A third-party process subject to the bank's KYC & risk assessment; approval is never guaranteed.
• Quote data. RAKEZ and SPC data is verified from official pricelists; other freezones are estimates pending consultation — marked with badges on every card.
• Jurisdiction. All disputes are subject to the courts of the Emirate in which the licence is issued.

Additional Charges That May Apply

• Name reservation / trade-name fees — varies if client picks a unique Arabic / foreign-word name.
• Activity additions — AED 500–2,000 per additional activity beyond the package allowance.
• Shareholder additions — some freezones charge AED 1,000–3,000 per extra shareholder.
• Express / same-day processing — freezone rush fees (typ. AED 1,000–3,000).
• Document attestation — MOFA, embassy, and notary fees (country-dependent).
• Translation (English ↔ Arabic) — certified translator, per document.
• Medical re-tests / Emirates ID biometrics re-appointment.
• Visa status change (COS) — applies only when applicant is already inside UAE on another visa.
• Bank account introduction fee — charged by MMB only if client opts in.
• Establishment card, e-Channel, GDRFA registrations — mandatory for visa-carrying entities.
• VAT registration & return filing — required if revenues cross AED 375,000/year (mandatory) or AED 187,500 (voluntary).
• Annual renewal — licence + office + immigration cards renewed yearly; pricing at time of renewal.
• Amendments post-issuance — name change, activity change, shareholder transfer, share-capital changes.
• Courier / delivery of hard-copy documents.

Bank Account Opening — What Clients Should Know

Bank account opening is optional. Any freezone licence allows approach to UAE banks, but outcomes depend on:

• Nationality and residency of the shareholder(s)
• Business activity (some activities are restricted by banks)
• Office type (physical / Ejari may be required by the bank, not the freezone)
• Source of funds documentation and UBO disclosure
• Bank's internal risk appetite at time of application

MMB offers assisted bank-account introductions across 8+ UAE banks (commercial, digital, and offshore). This is billed separately and is payable whether or not an account is eventually opened — because the work performed is the preparation and introduction, not the guarantee of approval.

Post-Licence Lifecycle — Standard Obligations

• Establishment Card — issued after licence, required before any visa application.
• Employment visa — entry permit → status change (if inside) → medical → Emirates ID → stamping.
• Emirates ID — biometrics within 15 days of visa stamping.
• Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) filing — mandatory across UAE.
• Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) — applies to relevant activities.
• Corporate Tax registration — mandatory for all UAE entities from 2023.
• VAT — if turnover > thresholds above.
• Annual renewal — 30 days before expiry to avoid fines.
